Z Fish Report (922/16)

Offshore (average) surface water temperature - Includes from the 5-6 mile mark at the 100 fathom line, on out to about 50 miles with the 1,000 fathom line being at 32 miles: 87°

Inshore (average) surface temperature. From the beach to about 5 miles: 87°
Blue water: The water is a bit discolored to about 6-7 miles off the beach and just beyond the 100 fathom curve. Then it is “clean” for the next 5 miles, and blue from about 11 miles on out. (Chlorophyll amounts and surface temps from Terrafin SST)
Offshore- About the same all this month. Plus, this is the slowest time of the year for sport fishing and the time when most of the boats are pulled from the water, getting their bottom cleaned, fresh paint, and whatever repairs needing to be done.
We are averaging 1 sailfish raised to the boat and less than 1 hooked per boat per day.
There are still very few dorado, as the bite developing under the weed lines from the river outflows never developed.
The yellowfin tuna are a hit and miss, with only the commercial pangeros finding them out beyond the 25 mile mark.
Inshore: No fishermen, and no reported action.
